The Report on Wireless LAN War Driving Survey 2013 invited over 10 information security experts to conduct the war driving surveys, including the Tramway War Driving, Estates War Driving, Wardriving in the air and Wardriving on the sea. From the result of the survey, it showed that the public awareness on WiFi security was similar with last year and there was room for improvement. At the same time, there were 35% of the users sill using Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WEP) encryption method, which might cause serious security loophole. It was suggested that users should download the patch to keep their devices safe.
